Hi, I am a second year engineering student doing a project and need some help. My project is to design a system that will demonstrate the principles of controlling a vehicles speed limiter through the use of RFID tags and a reader. What I would like to show is that three passive RFID tags (which will represent three different speed limits signs - 20mph, 30mph and 40mph) which, when read by the reader will display the appropriate limit value on the LCD display and activate a servo (which will represent the speed limiter activating).
Ideally, what I am looking for is that when tag 1 (20mph) is read, the LCD displays '20mph limit' and the servo activates and remains active. If the same tag is read again, this indicates the vehicle has left the speed restricted zone and is no longer being limited. Thus the LCD displays the same '20mph limit' message and the servo de-activates. If, after tag 1 has been read once (the servo is active), tag 2 (30mph) is read, I would like the LCD to display '30mph limit' and for the servo to de-activate, re-activate and remain active. This is to indicate the change in restriction from 20mph to 30mph.
Likewise, if tag 1 is read once and the system operates as described, and then tag 3 (40mph) is read. I would like the system to respond in the same manner, diplsaying the appropriate '40mph limit', followed by de-activating the servo and re-activating it to demonstrate the new speed restriction. And hopefully it could be done so as to respond correctly regardless of the order in which the tags are read.
I have been trying to do this myself but have never used this software, or done coding before. so it is proving difficult. Is there anyone that can help?
