The goal of the project is to create a digital picture frame with a USB connector. When the USB is plugged into a computer it will look like USB mass storage device, and the user can load pictures (jpeg, bmp, etc). When the USB is connected to power only, it will display the pictures in a constant loop. I have a pre-existing electronic circuit design using a PIC24. It is based on the MicroElectronika mikromedia for PIC24, in other words the code should work the same on both as the connections are the same. I only removed the extra parts that I was not using. I have attached a schematic for both the mikroE board and my board.

Hardware description: It has a PIC24FJ256GB110, a microSD card, 8MB flash RAM, and an LCD screen with ILI9341 driver.

Software requirement: as stated above I need the device to perform as USB MSD when connected to a PC/MAC, and digital picture frame when power only. I know that there are a lot of example code projects out there for each of these pieces separately, and I have been trying to adapt code from Microchips library. But I have not been able to figure out how to combine them. The closest examples I have found use either a different PIC model or a different LCD driver, and porting that over would be too difficult for me.

I have a limited budget and time frame, but I am hoping this is a relatively simple task. Would appreciate any feedback or if you could provide a proposal.

Thank you,
