Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We have end of day data (csv format) for the financial markets going back on average around 10- 20 years. This data includes the daily open, high, low and close for each trading day of the year.
We would like to automatically analyse this data for many different markets within excel in order to produce a summary.
The summary would be able to identify and show which trading days, dates, weeks, months and quarters had the strongest and weakest history of moving higher or lower and the percentages associated and the number of points for the market closing higher or lower over these periods.
The programme you create will be able to export a report for any chosen market and then show the above data in an easy to read and adapt format. For example if we wanted to see the strongest trading days, dates, weeks, months or quarters for a market with one click the percentages up or down would be shown in order for each of the above periods of time with the highest at the top and the lowest at the bottom etc.
A csv file for the UK market is attached in order that you can see the type of data that your programme would need to read and work with.
Please contact us if you require any clarification.
