Experience Level: Expert
A windows service and admin UI to cater for the following;

to monitor multiple pop/imap email boxes and process emails that have a specific subject.
The emails will contain xml in the body text of the document - nb not as an attachment.
the xml content will then be posted to a specific web service (a SOAP web service) - the web service will be determined based on a FORM_Name tag in the email body content
the service will have the ability to retry the web service post for a user configurable time period and number of retries
if the data cannot be posted to the web service, an email will be sent back to the from address of the email informing them of the error

error logging to the event log (using log4net or equivalent) would be needed as would the ability to configure logging levels, info, warning, debug etc.

it is envisaged that some sort of embedded database would be used to manage the state of each job processed/being processed

A UI (such as an MMC console snap in) would be used to define a mapping of FORM_NAME tags to web service URLs

I have envisaged that this would be done as a .net /c# windows service, but am happy to receive proposals for alternative solutions
