Please find attached layouts of what we are looking for visually. I have not included the admin screen for uploading and publishing the reports, I will leave this to you dependant on how you make the application work. With regards to the final product I will leave the finished look and feel to you but it must incorporate all the functionality laid out below.

This is to run on a windows 2003 server you can either use IIS or Apache.

The crystal reports will be developed independently and placed in a directory on the web server. Then relevant details must then be entered so that the application knows where to find the report. The crystal report version is XI at the moment but I would like to use 12 in the future, (please indicate if this will be a problem). Most of the reports use Crystals parameter look up functionality (nested look-ups), this must still be available in the application in addition they will have the drill down capability sometimes opening up additional crystal reports (not sub-reports actual different new reports with parameters passed to them)

If you wish to use AJAX in any of the list entry generation then this will be acceptable, if you wish to use database views this will also acceptable.

The back-end database is oracle and I would like the working tables and views also to be in Oracle. You will be responsible for the database design and table creation.

I can do the install, if there are any special requirements just let me know.

With regards to functionality.

Log-on to Oracle database.
Must be able to change password if expired etc.....
Front screen of text must be editable by us, Basic HTML page could be supplied.


Reports to be uploaded and tagged with the following
Division, Report Type, Report Title,Report Description, Availability (Public/Secured), Report location and name

Division - To populate the division drop down list box

Report Type - To populate the drop drown list box. (Entries Public Reports, Your Reports These entries will be fixed)
Please Note when generating the list it must also contain the work Favourites as well as the report entries.

Report Description - Used in the report description box

If the reports are Public then anyone logged on can see them, if the reports are secured then we need a mechanism of tagging the user name to the report name these reports will show up when \"Your Reports\" is selected from the Report Type list. I will leave this part up to you for the best method of securing the reports.

The user has the option to save a report to their favourites and also tag it with an additional folder name. This is so that they can organise their reports. The personnel folder must on display if Favourite is chosen from the report types. They should be able to change the description of the reports but not the report name if saved to their favourites.

The date for completion and installation is the 15th December.
