Not for the company that owns this PPH account but another that makes watch winders for automatic watches, we're looking for someone to do some analysis on how luxury brands and makers of gadgets are utilising social media to generate awareness, interest, customer engagement and ultimately sales.
Watch winders are a 'gadget' luxury good and while the end users are generally men between 35-55 with above average disposable income, the buyers of this product are probably 40% women, mainly, we think, buying as a gift for the men in their lives. An effective social media strategy therefore has to address both these markets.
For this job we're looking for someone to analyse those in our market and see how they are using social media and what can be learned from them. It's probably in three tiers: 1) immediate competitors (i.e. the manufacturers of other watch winders) 2) the broader luxury watch market and 3) more broad again to the gadget market and any other products that are similarly niche but appeal to the same demographic.
The report should identify those doing well in this sector (large number of likes/followers plus good customer engagement), how they are doing it and how we could apply the same techniques.
I'm not sure how much this should cost so please feel free to suggest something different if appropriate.
