The Pharmaceutical Licensing Group (PLG) is a not for profit trade association for business development professionals in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Please see here https://plg-group.com/
We are looking for a talented part-time Social Media Manager to be responsible for our social media presence. You will generate and manage original text and, when relevant, video content. You will manage posts and respond to followers in alignment with PLG policy.
We expect you to be up-to-date with the main business-focussed social media platforms and some familiarity with digital marketing techniques would be an advantage.
Principal Responsibilities
• Co-design (with support and guidance from the PLG board) and implement social media strategy to align with marketing goals
• Build and manage the relevant communities across key channels (communicating with followers, responding to queries in a timely manner and monitoring comments – needs to be discussed with the board)
• Generate and share engaging content daily about life sciences alliances, collaborations and other stories relevant to life science deal-making (eg. text, photos, videos and news). You will draw upon your own knowledge, input from PLG board members and third party sources such as the Pharma Letter and Endpoints newsletters
Ideal Social Media Manager skills
• Proven experience using LinkedIn and Twitter required
• Experience in life sciences preferred
• Experience in life sciences business development is welcome, but not essential
• Excellent communication skills
