Hey Andrew

I've just seen your job regarding the Network Advice and decided to give you some tips.

NAS would work great for home set ups. Even though they are bundled with functionality I wouldn't consider it for business.

Here is what I suggest you should do:
Get yourself Windows 2012 R2 Essentials server. (£280) It will give you total control over the client PCs, it will act as your File and Print server and will be much easier to monitor, maintain and back up than a NAS.
Encrypted cloud backup will cost you around (£10) a month.
An actual physical server will cost you around £400. Xeon CPU, 8GB RAM, 2 x 500GB RAID 1 Drives.

In terms of implementation, it is quite easy and painless. You need to set up a domain (usually the name of the business) and then join each computer to that domain.
You can administer the whole thing very easy via remote access or VPN using another PC or mobile device such an iPhone or iPad.
You can also get secure remote access to your files (if your broadband is fast enough).

The possibilities are limitless.

Drop me a line on if you want to discuss it.
