I'm almost embarrassed to post this very quick simple job. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes for a php writer who knows what he/she is doing. I make stuff and write books so I know nothing about php although my html ain't too bad.
Item 1. I would like to have an html page on one of my websites where a visitor can enter an order number in a search field, click a button and get some details from an existing MySQL table echoed on the page .
Item 2. I would like to have a data entry page on my website where I can write new records into the same table.
The table currently holds about 80 records of 7 fields of text. Records are deleted as they become obsolete but the table could grow to a couple of thousand entries. There is no sensitive data in the table and therefore no requirement for any security measures.
That's it!
Some time in the new year I will be upgrading an ecommerce site that sells custom name badges and currently uses the PayPal standard shopping cart. The admin is too time-consuming and it's driving me nuts. I will need a fully integrated custom built and product-specific database, interface and backend designed and installed. The project will obviously be worth several hundred pounds and whoever gets this minor php project will also get first shot at the ecommerce project.
