Our small digital marketing agency is looking for part time, ongoing assistance 12-20 hours per week. Here is more information:
The Search Engine Optimization Specialist is responsible for day-to-day management of ongoing search engine optimization programs, both on-site and on-page, as well as off-site, specifically focused on technical SEO and link-building/outreach. May additionally include content development and social media optimization. You are accountable to the client to deliver superior results for assigned programs, both those you directly fulfill and those for which you direct and oversee others’ work.
Job Requirements
Excellent understanding of search engine optimization theory, including being well-versed in trends and most effective current technical, on-page and off-page methods.
Expert level knowledge of search engine algorithms and various ranking methods.
Expertise in keyword research that achieves client business objectives and that identifies new keyword opportunities.
Expertise in on-page and technical optimization factors including skills and experience to rapidly assess priorities for improvements.
Breadth of expertise in multiple methods of off-page optimization, at both a strategic and tactical level, with evidence of results achieved with previous projects.
Ability to quickly discover, explore and test new SEO opportunities within an established SEO community of users.
Understands the growing importance of social / user-generated content and how to develop, harness and leverage it for improved performance.
Experience with development of link-building strategies and tactical campaigns that make use of multichannel media approaches.
Can solve complex indexation and crawlability issues.
Is able to understand and direct programmers on resolving important page load speed issues and other technical barriers to ranking.
Is able to provide detailed site architecture and URL structure recommendations.
Can develop detailed recommendations regarding redirect strategies.
Expertise in design of large-scale SEO-friendly information architecture.
Possesses advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Possesses intermediate knowledge of PHP, SQL and other relevant web technologies.
Possesses intermediate knowledge of WordPress, Magento, other CMS platforms.
Possesses intermediate knowledge of Google Analytics and some knowledge of many analytics platforms – e.g. Adobe Analytics, Omniture.
Is able to troubleshoot and debug roadblocks in search engines or users accessing content due to technical limitations.
Possesses a level of proficiency in design software, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Experienced in use of a diversity of media and the technical implications of this (e.g. video, blended search, social search, mobile).
