Hi Nancy,

Not sure if this is more then 1 hour, let me know if you want me to buy a few hours. Thanks Nancy

GPS/RF What Does It All Mean
RF means radio frequency, we use this technology to assist us to be able to touch a device, or some type of asset within a few centimeters, even if the asset or device
is situated inside a building.
GPS allows us to track the device live on our panel or your smart phone, however the reality to be able to track say a “bikeseat” that has been stolen and placed inside a block of
flats, becomes almost impossible to be able to determine the exact location. Bad GPS reflections can also cause you to think your bike seat may be situated 50 meters away.
Combining RF gives you complete confidence, no matter where your device is placed or hidden, you will be able to locate it.

When Does The RF Transmit A Signal
There are devices on the market that also have both technologies integrated into one PCB. But you will find that very few devices that can transmit there GPS positions and send RF signals at the same time.
There is a very good reason for this. We have found that the Radio Signal can reduce the ability for the GPS receiver, to actually get a good 3D fix. Other devices on the market also require an SMS message
to be sent to the device to be able to switch the RF ON-OFF. I have witnessed many failures in this method, why! The bike seat is now situated in a position where it simply cannot receive an sms, to be able to
turn on the radio transmitter.
So how do we do it ? our solutions require no SMS to turn on the transmitter, they simply transmit automatically when the “bikeseat” is stationary for more than 20 seconds. Once the “bikeseat” starts to
move, the RF will shut down and let the GPS receiver transmit its data from 5 seconds. If the “bikeseat” stops it will again, start to transmit the RF signal.
Countless operations have clearly shown that this works, it’s simple and requires no anticipation and further stress “is the transmitter on”

What Happens When You Have No GPS
Ok, let’s stay with the “bikeseat”, the bike seat is currently in the rear of a van with no windows. The van is also parked in a multi story car park, you are trying to locate your bike seat, via the APP or
on the PC. Yet the panel is informing you that there is no GPS, the last position of the bike seat is 5KM away from where it really is. This is because previous to this, you placed your seat in a “report every 60 minutes whilst in motion mode”
You then decide to press “mask locate” on the panel. What does “mask locate” do. It will show you with seconds the position of the simcard inside the bike seat. This requires no GPS, yet the accuracy is remarkable. It is
shown on the panel via a circle and a star in the middle of the cell. It will indicate its accuracy. So what does this all mean in simple terms.

1. The ability to drive to a valid GSM cell location and receive the transmission from the transmitter.
2. If GPS is not possible, then retrieving the asset using a Cell Location combining RF allows you to carry out the operation

What Affect Does RF Have On The Battery Life
The RF Transmitter consumes very little power. One of the main reasons for this is because, the output power is measured in mW (milliwat) default settings for our transmitters are set at 1.0000 mW.
Experience has shown us that this is sufficient when using a good receiver to locate the RF signal. It also has another huge advantage, the more power output you allow, the more “everyone can hear it”. I make this
reference to those that know exactly what I mean! So you be assured that our solution will calmly send its burst, far enough for you to find the asset.

To retrieve any asset with confidence within such a small space almost anywhere on this globe, requires a solution that has a RF. With many years of experience and countless success stories, Gotek7 can build or supply
you a bespoke solution that will work. We do not feel the need to mention some of largest businesses in the UK and across Europe that use our equipment for the purpose of retrieving assets that are stolen.
If you would like a bespoke frequency from 144 MHz-tiny in size or a battery life that can last many years, please give us a call.
