Description
Experience Level: Entry
I have approximately 30-35 .all files which have some sentimental value to me - I made them in school! They were created in a version of Cubasis from around 2007. Unfortunately, I don't have a cubase license so can't download an old version of cubase to import and export midi from these files.
You will need to:
-Have a suitable version of Cubase installed (searching online suggests Cubase SX3 is suitable for this)
-Import each .all file and export .midi
The exported midi should retain the individual tracks from the original.
I have attached an example, renamed to txt format to avoid issues with document upload.

The files have audio and midi tracks?
Because converting audio to midi with software isn't always 100% accurate, especially with distorted guitars, complex chords, or fast passages.
This question I am asking is because, if you have complex audio tracks, maybe a manual midi conversion will be required. Hear the tracks and write the corresponding MIDI copy.
Kind RegardsDavid O.07 Jun 2020No there are no audio tracks. The files were recorded in an early version of Cubasis which does not support audio tracks. The tracks use a default set of midi voices, please see the attached files.
