Description
Experience Level: Expert
My father recorded three songs that were sung by friends of his in a church service about 50 years ago, and has just recently dug up the cassette tape of them. They mean a lot to him and he's asked if I can find someone who could help sort them out. We've managed to digitize them so I have .wav files for each.
All three have a lot of tape hiss and some background noises (coughing etc). I was hoping it might be possible to remove some of that, or at least make it less prominent.
One of the songs is also damaged at the end - I think he had a problem with the recorder and had to restart it (he's certainly not a professional!!).We're not sure if anything can be done with it. Dad wondered if it might be possible to edit in an earlier section or maybe cut a chunk out and bring the ending forward.
