Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
I’m looking to have a cross platform camera app developed. This is to be a stand alone camera app with its own separate icon – you press it and the new camera starts and works independently of any other camera on the mobile device. Sorry if this sounds basic, a previous developer didn't understand this!!!!!!
This new camera will exist along side any other camera apps that the user has installed. I see that there are many ‘stock’ UI solutions online to achieve this in a dev sense and I am happy with a stock camera – it just has to work. Customer clicks the new icon, a new camera opens up, the customer can use it.
Some of the big features of the app are;
1. The purchaser (company manager typically) of the solution will have a dedicated camera related folder created AUTOMATICALLY on their preferred cloud storage (MS or Gsuite).
2. All media captured by the camera application will be sent to the cloud storage location set out in point 1 - no media rests on the device, ever. **This is a vitally important element of the finished solution. You need to be sure on how you will achieve this. Previous devs have had no issue with this. **. You need to think about the logic around what happens to media where there is no wifi/data; encrypted/inaccessible temp storage.
3. Multiple users (employees) can download the app from their preferred storage for free.There is a log in logic to ensure that only dedicated ppl can log in.
Alongside the mobile app dev, there needs to be the necessary web dev carried out;
• Payment gateway
• Data bases
• Timeout functionality
I can confirm the full functionality if you’re interested in applying for the job. I am happy if this is part of a team where 2 people link in with each other to complete this.
**I have had a number of apps developed in the past, please consider the following**
1. I wish to work with European devs only due to the time sensitivity (I need it started asap) on this and need to work with someone close to my own timezone. Don’t be offended if I archive you on this basis.
2. I know how many hours this project should take and what It should cost. If you’re way over that you will not be considered.
3. I have full wireframe/spec sheet available upon request.
4. I will be very very fair with you but if there is any issue in terms of communications or ‘mis-interpretation’ of the brief which has happened before, I cut the project.
5. We will work out milestones with a calendar (project management) that I will hold you to and expect delivery on we will work out sanctions for undeliverables.
6. Communication is the bedrock of any successful project, if you’re working on a number of other projects and think you can, ‘fit this one in’ again please don’t apply as I expect commitment and your full concentration on this.
7. There is a mobile dev and web dev element to this. You need to consider how this will be done and who will do it. If you’re working with someone else that’s fine but I need to know their work as I need to look at yours. We can open up a comms platform like telegram to be in touch on this. I will include my biz partner on this so we can all work together.
8. I expect that any planned holidays/leave or time off is made clear upfront. This should't be an issue as this is over a short period.
9. If you haven't read these points, it will be fairly obvious to me in your response!!
