Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Hello
I’m founder of a very new, but incredibly exciting, mental health charity (we are currently doing the paper work for charity commission as we speak...), that aims to provide rapid peer and professional support when people need it most.
Our main two services will be
Offer rapid access to a professional counsellor/pyscotherapist When people need it most (so many people are refused help on NHS and cannot afford to go private )
Peer to peer support network for lower level intervention
App development
We’re thinking of creating an app that can do two things
An Uber like service for once a client gets accepted by Blink, they put out a ‘call for help’ which then connects them to professionals in their area. Professionals then decide if they want to accept the referral or not. The professionals details who accepts the referral will then be sent to the client, then the client can choose who to get in contact with, out the professionals who offer to help
For peer to peer support - a blackberry messaged ping type service where users send out a ‘blink’ and trained volunteers or professionals can decide to chat to the ‘blinker’ - this could be to provided low level immeadiate support / chat
Kind of early intervention if you like
These are only initial ideas, but that’s where all ideas start right.

Hi
App you wanted to be developed, is for Android or iOS?

Hi Mike, my name is Jeff, a senior web and mobile dev. I like the direction of thought you have - especially because a family friend just died because the ambulance didn't arrive early. Does this presuppose that there is a profile page for each user of the app? If there is, I assume their health status has to be recorded in real time (or near real time). How is this to be done? A health professional or a home test kit. I have my thinking hat on, please message back
