We require an iOS Developer preferably with Java skils for a permanent opportunity based in our funky London offices to join our great digital team. The ideal candidate will be highly self-reliant, with a proven track record of self-motivation, interpersonal / communication skills, initiative taking, problem solving and must enjoy working in an energetic, fast-paced environment.
THE ROLE
We are seeking an iOS developer to work as part of a growing native applications team based in central London developing mobile applications for some high profile clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing native iOS applications in objective C
Assisting in architecting and planning application builds and timelines
Developing components as assigned by the Project Lead, as per the Project Lead’s architectural plan.
REQUIREMENTS
A demonstrable technical ability is required in all of the following areas:
Good knowledge of objective C, Cocoa and Cocoa Touch, XCode, Java
Good knowledge and experience with iOS APIs and Frameworks, e.g. Core Data, UIKit, Media Player, CFNetwork, etc
Good conceptual knowledge of working with server side APIs, processing and caching responses (json, XML, etc)
Experience using Xcode Instruments to debug apps including Leaks and Performance tools
Experience with source code management repositories (preferably Git)
2-3 years of experience in iOS development
Preference will be given to candidates who can show any of the following:
A demonstrable and genuine personal interest in mobile application development (e.g. a personal portfolio of published apps)
Existing stable applications available in the app store developed either personally or for a client/employer.
Code samples using some of the mentioned frameworks, or showing implementation of a server side API with client side caching etc
This is NOT a remote working opportunity and is a full time position based in our offices.
