Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
The app will mostly be based around showing HealthKit data.
For the first iteration of the app, I see it as having two sections:
1. Profile - user sets a specific date from which to measure their health metrics from (e.g. May 1, 2019).
2. Dashboard - after allowing the app to pull in data for a few (3-5) key metrics from HealthKit, the user is able to view graphs of how their health metrics have changed over time since the date they indicate on their profile.
e.g. I set my start date as May 1, 2019 and enable the app to read my Heart Rate data and the app will show me all of my heart rate data since May 1st.
There should also be a link to show content pages within the app, e.g. “Click here to learn more about your heart rate”.
For later iterations of the app I would be interested in activating notifications based on the HealthKit data (e.g. if no value recorded for 3 days, send a notification) as well as some rudimentary analysis around the health data (e.g. calculating change in heart rate over the time period and showing whether it has increased/decreased).
Heathkit is a developer feature supported by Apple to facilitate usage of Apple Health data in third-party apps. Here is more info: https://developer.apple.com/healthkit/
For starters we need the following 3 metrics to be measured:
1. Resting Heart Rate
2. Heart Rate Variability
3. VO2 max
