Experience Level: Intermediate

Experienced Telesales executive required to sell extremely competitively priced advertising spaces to small to medium sized businesses on behalf of a student website which incorporates a directory. We have a variety of packages to suit all budgets ranging from £65 -£260. All adverts are fully editable for 12 months and act as an introduction to students for the services and Special Offers available in their area - as such they are extremely unique.

Our young company (launched in Chester in September 2009) has already covered Chester, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and Nottingham and has restructured itself from field sales to Telesales to speed up the process and reduce overheads.

We are preparing for a National launch throughout 2011 with professional marketing planned. We have appeared in numerous papers/magazines/radio shows and websites. We contract PR work to a professional company in Leeds and will provide evidence of all marketing/PR including letters from Downing Street, MP's and government bodies to the representative chosen.

We look forward to rapidly expanding throughout the UK and for the right person could provide long term employment.

We cover every university, college and educational establishment in the UK.

Only people with experience in Telesales need apply - references are essential as the chosen person will be representing our company and morals - a fair deal, for a fair price. We are not pushy sellers but have found that simply showing/talking though our unique product ends (with a little nudging) in sales.

If a business is extremely interested we are happy to provide them with a bespoke example of exactly how their advert would look, however generally we use existing examples as we have at least one type of advert ranging from each section ie Home Brew shops through to Hairdressers, Bars to Pizza Outlets. We have clients ranging from Wetherspoon Pubs & Bars to Cartridge World.

Training will be provided and all information is ready for an immediate start. The correct person will not be micro managed, they will be expected to be competent, committed, hard working and reliable. They must be able to self prioritise and structure their diary accordingly.

Maturity is the key to success in this field and therefore knowing the product inside out is essential. Training will take place regularly to ensure the correct methods are followed and the procedure fully understood, however input and feedback will be crucial to us working together and achieving the best results for the company. The correct person will become a valued member of our team.

We have so far sold the spaces ourselves directly so are experienced in sales ratios to conversions through direct sales. We know all the pitfalls and things that make people tick. Admittedly we are not experienced in the field of Telesales.

Extensive support will be provided with an extremely fast turn around from sale to design to invoice. Usually we will complete a design within 24 hours, the company will be invoiced the same day so a 7 day turn around to payment 14 day max is usual.( Providing the process is followed and the client completes).
Payment will be made to the selected representative at the end of 1 month. After month one this will be negotiated to suit the representatives preferred method - within reason.

Payment cannot ever be made without the funds clearing into our account first - whatever the circumstances.

The chosen Telesales representative should view this similar to a franchise - though it is not one. They will be responsible for certain areas, creating leads, re contacting clients, and up selling.

This is a commission only position, therefore we will work with the correct person on figures/numbers of calls based on their conversion rate. We will negotiate on what is a reasonable number after a 2 week trial.

We will not pay any expenses but will offer extremely good commission rates.

Once an initial period of 4 weeks has passed we would be in a position to work out a bonus system.

It is highly unlikely that you will sell packages to customers in one single telephone call. Usually 2 -3 calls are necessary to close the sale. This will take time but with an OTE expected to be a minimum of £500pw uncapped - hopefully regularly achieving £1000 - after the initial week of training, it should be worth the wait.

We expect a reasonably sized city ie Liverpool to be completed in 3-4 weeks. Though some follow up calls may be required - once you have moved on to another area.

As we are a young company their is no VAT (at present) and as we have never used this system will only select 1 person as a trial run.

If we are happy we will be looking to outsource to at least 2 more freelancers so if you are not selected we will keep a note of you and if we are interested will ask you to bid in the next round.
