Web Marketing Manager/s
With its core business in timber engineering, the Benfield ATT Group is looking for one or more experienced marketing professionals, to boost visitors to its various branded web sites, with more to follow.
Products & Services range from design and engineering, though timber frame kits for home extensions and conversions, to major engineered timber structures, like houses, flats, schools, health care, and resorts, as well as garden buildings, home offices, and a wider Home & Garden Centre site.
Freelance & Teleworking
Embracing the environmental, social, and economic benefits afforded by 'telecommuting', we are developing policies and practices to enable us to employ more people remotely.
Team Building
This approach to 21st Century 'Team Building, still requires occasional project meetings, so the closer that UK members are together, the easier this can become.
However, for some of our operations we are contemplating hiring freelance team members from further afield.
The hope is that we will be progressively able to recruit people to become permanent, long term members of a ‘virtual office’ as the various elements of the businesses expand.
All team members must evidence a high standard of UK English and literacy
Skype, et al
However, the use of Skype and various 'white board' techniques is being explored, opening these opportunities to a wider network of specialists, both nationally and internationally.
High Page Rankings
Several of our pages already enjoy Google page one rankings. The requirement is to increase the number of pages sharing this position, to improve the position of page one rankings, and to encourage complimentary businesses to link to and advertise on our web sites.
Platform
Our newer sites are based around a modified Magento platform to facilitate administration. This has integral links to social media sites and the intention is to develop this further and use it for subsequent sites.
Tools Used
We currently use SEO, Blogs, Twitter, Article Marketing, some link building, e-mail marketing, media relations, etc. and monitor performance using Google Analytics and similar tools
Our Ideal Candidate
…would be a seasoned marketing professional, well versed in developing web businesses and sales who – from an initial part time basis - is able to take progressive charge of our entire marketing operations. This will include hiring and managing other freelance capabilities.
It is likely that more than one candidate may be selected on a trial basis.
Applicants Must
1 provide a full CV evidencing past achievements and salary packages
2 supply an outline proposal of how they would address the role
3 list the tools that they would propose to use with appropriate %age weightings
4 suggest targets for improvements in visitors over a specified period of time
5 state how many hours per week they would need to achieve these
6 evidence their experience in related web administration
7 confirm that they are prepared to undertake appropriate security clearances in order to be given web access
8 confirm that they are prepared to work alongside and / or subsidiary to any other candidate appointed.
9 give details of any similar roles that they are currently undertaking
10 confirm that these roles are none conflicting and that they will not accept potentially conflicting roles in the future
11 give personal undertakings as to confidentiality and security
12 Specify the types of reports that they will provide weekly and monthly
Rewards
… will be by way of both basic hourly payment, commissions on increased number of visitors, and annual bonuses related to the conversion of visitors into sales.
Basic hourly pay will be very conservative in order to try out those appointed.
Greatest reward will come from commissions on increased number of visitors to each site. This commission will vary according to the anticipated conversion rates and type of offering.
Annual bonuses will be paid according to actual business improvement resulting.
Since visitor imporvements occur over time, it is difficult to make this clear in the PPH forms, so will need to be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
