Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We are small, young, dynamic company offering mobile creative media training to schools and colleges. We deliver our courses by arriving on site with computers, associated equipment and all teaching resources as required to deliver the course. We can convert an empty classroom into a multi media teaching suite in a matter of minutes. We have been delivering courses for the last 12 months and are currently developing a new catalogue of accredited courses which will be supported with electronic course management tools. We are now aiming to grow & extend the business by promoting & selling our services to new prospects, which mainly consist of Local Authorities, Learning agencies, Managers of Education based initiatives, Education senior leaders etc. The ideal candidate will:
1. Be from the education sector
2. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills as most interaction will be with managers and other senior education officers within their respective organizations.
3. Have a confident & engaging telephone manner.
4. Have an awareness of national education initiatives in particular 'Foundation Learning' and the 'New Government Diplomas' plus others
5. Exposure to technology or creative media industries would be beneficial.
6. There is the possibility for this role to extend to incorporate face to face client meetings as part of the sales & promotion process. Although not essential, it would be beneficial if the successful candidate could accommodate this from time to time. (London & Home Counties). This may also involve chairing small group meetings either face to face or remotely via video / telephone conference.
We are NOT looking for a forceful sales person or somebody to merely follow a sales script. Rather, the ideal candidate will be able to foster effective relationships by engaging in meaningful discussions with prospective clients. Ultimately this should lead to actual sales of our courses /services, achieved by understanding client's requirements and offering appropriate solutions from our range.
We do not have a fixed fee structure for this role but envisage it will be hourly paid. Alternatively a combination of hourly paid plus commission based is also being considered. We are flexible on this point and would like to hear the bidders view on either.
Ideally we would like to maintain an ongoing relationship with the successful bidder. This will enable us to maintain some consistency and also allows us to react as new prospects are identified.
We invite bidders to offer their proposals and comment on their suitability for this role. Many thanks.
