A leading Experiential Marketing agency, Blazinstar Experiential is looking to hire a top notch experienced Production Manager to produce nationwide, multi-city marketing campaigns for major brands around the UK.
We are currently seeking Production Managers to begin in September 2010 and work on a contract basis through July 2011 with the option to extend to permanent.
The ideal Production Manager must be familiar with the marketing industry and possess at least 5+ years in this or another related field. They will be comfortable working in a fast paced and ever-changing creative environment. This position will require positive energy, enthusiasm and a desire to contribute to the overall goals of the company.
The role is to provide senior production management for new and existing projects within the experiential team, assisting Head of Production in management of a growing Production Team.
You need to have deep knowledge of production, suppliers and the technology involved in experiential projects, to include large and small indoor and outdoor events both touring and one-off live events
Providing strong management of experiential production processes to ensure projects are planned, executed and financially managed to a high standard and in a timely fashion
Understanding and managing, to a detailed level, large and small events and tours, indoor and outdoor executions, consumer experience/sampling stand builds and one off live events (lighting/AV/Sound)
Working alongside account handlers on the creative process from concept, brief to live production
Delivering workable proposals and budgets on ideas
Assisting in creation of material to present and sell the response to the client.
Experienced production capabilities across: stand build, storage, logistics, transport, supplier relations, venue liaisons, project costing, production budgeting, creative, materials and working with an Account Team • Competence in the preparation of Heath & Safety documentation (including Method Statements, Risk Assessments, etc.) • A self starter with an ability to work on your own • Extensive supplier network with whom you have established relationships • Confidence in negotiating best supplier costs for and on behalf of the company • PC Skills - basic knowledge of Microsoft packages (word / excel / powerpoint) along with the ability to use the internet • Willingness to be prepared to work outside of office hours, from time to time • Carry out site visits and carry out on site management • to include staff motivation, client liaison and logistical management. • Ability to brief event managers to ensure parameters of roles are fulfilled • Proactive and enthusiastic to get involved with all aspects of the campaigns • Ability to think clearly and forward plan • good time management • Take on projects outside of campaign implementation
Job Requirements :

Overseeing Fabrication and Design
Working w/internal teams to create budgets, proposals, & production timelines
Overseeing the hiring all pre-production and onsite production staff
Maintaining strong Client Relationships
Managing costs and maximizing profitability of account
Organizing and leading status and internal meetings
Requirements:
A BA/BS degree (in communications, journalism or marketing is preferred)
5+ years experience in event marketing, production, or advertising preferably in an agency setting
Proven record of producing your own campaign/projects
Knowledge of a wide range of production equipment
Strong Written, Verbal, and Computer Skills
Ability to multi-task and balance priorities
Willingness to Travel
Creativity, ambition, and a big sense of humor
