Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
We need someone to make sure that our online presence communicates everything we are: a fun, modern, motivating and professional dance fitness initiative.
You’ll act as the website and digital communication manager for our brand, carrying out the following duties:
• Updating content on our website, keeping news pages up to date and writing short articles if needed.
• Running our social media feeds: posting updates, initiating and responding to conversations
• Starting an email mailing list and creating short email newsletters
• Responding to enquiries made through the website/social media
• Building a network of followers and subscribers
We need someone reliable, self-disciplined, with an engaging online presence. We’re a positive, modern, energetic brand and we need someone with the personality to match. Someone with a marketing background or with a natural flare for marketing would be desirable and the role may offer the chance to take on more marketing responsibilities in the future.
Obviously great communication skills are a must, but we’re also looking for the following skills:
• Confident using CMS to update content. A working knowledge of basic HTML would be an advantage
• Have a good understanding of SEO and how to structure and write content to help drive traffic to our website
• Excellent writing and copywriting skills
• Knowledge of using an email marketing system such as MailChimp
• Able to manage your own schedule, prioritise your workload, and come up with new marketing ideas, but also work under direction and to deadlines
• Maintain good lines of communication with other members of our team: be proactive in working with us to source content, set priorities, respond to feedback and communicate problems
• Adept at setting up and managing social media profiles such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
• Be on the ball, getting content up quickly and responding to issues and marketing opportunities speedily and efficiently
• Able to work to our brand guidelines and maintain a consistent, professional, appealing brand voice across our digital channels
The role would be worked from home so geographical location is unimportant. We’re looking for a maximum of 10 hours support a week to begin with, with possibly more hours as the business grows.
