good day Steven we are looking for a marketing specialist to

1. create marketing plan
2. control its implementation

Strengths:
Just ended repairs, we have a new breath;
Good facilities: 5:9 air conditioners in private rooms; living room with a big space for events that can contain more than 25 people and sit 20 people; 2 full equipped kitchens with dishwashers; full time hot water; own closed terrace with BBQ.

Good location:
we are close to the main touristic points: Boca do Inferno, Old City Town, Museums;
near the Park National Carmona;
near Port with nightlife attractions: bars & clubs;
near the well known cycle pass that provides to Guincho (one the biggest beach in Lisbon region and place for surf and windsurf activities);
near the 2,5 km promenade of free beaches;
10 min. walking to the train station; 4min. from the hostel to the bus station;
near us there are 3 banks, supermarket, cafes and restaurants.
Bus station to Cabo da Roca - the western part of the Europe;
We have a partnership with a well known surf school, they rent a garage at our second hostel;
Our main goal and motive is activities, we have a good partnership with : bike rental; paddle board and surf schools;
We have equipments to provide a yoga lessons;
Every worker in our company knows more than 2 languages.
Weaknesses
Like every company we also have some weak sides.
An old information & photos on all our booking sources;
Outdated web page, especially about activities that were provided 2 years ago;
Bad communications between workers & staff:
misunderstanding between departments;
Low degree of external marketing;
Low commitment between staff;
Bad level of education;
Problem with hot water our technical problems.

We can use our surroundings to provide activities, we have all the tools and we have a space, we just need to start doing this;
Good weather can increase arrivals;
Cascais is a Youth Capital 2018, it we create a good group package or proposal to young groups we can bring their attention;
Workshops for our staff to increase their level of education
Threats
Our competitors are stronger: other hostels have better facilities than we: bars, TV in a living room; pools;
Bad atmosphere between workers and volunteers, you never know who will come in 100%;
Decrease of inbound tourism in Lisbon Area
Less price of our competitors and better proposal than our.

Improve our external marketing ( right know we only provide dinner for staff once a week);
Increase our high rate position on tripadvisor;
Improve our response on reviews;
Reach to 15000 followers on instagram;
Improve our events section;
Create itinerary or tools that can help us to guide the hostel from marketing side.
Things to do
change information on booking sources (booking.com, hostelworld, expedia, airbnb, tripadvisor, booksurfcamp, surfholidays);
Update our own web page;
Print our own linen;
Make new photos;
Update volunteers pages: workaway. worldpackers, helpx
Create a newsletter & promotions for every quarter of moth ;
We can start work with meetup service page to increase our activities grade:
We have a cycle Guincho Pass we can provide bike tours on meetup;
Use Park National Carmona for yoga lessons if we will find a good yoga teacher; also like addition we can use it for picnics;
Try to provide free walking tours: small excursion, what is near the hostel;
Update our youtube channel;
Create more activities or events inside of the hostel: we have an ideas how to interest our guest to stay more because we are the main point of their travel: We decide to create some marks that will reconcile our image:
Monday: lemon cake at the breakfast at breakfast time;
Tuesday: day for different activities or workshops;
Wednesday: 1st week of the month - pastel de natas (traditional portuguese pastry) at the breakfast; excursion with our staff - let's explore surroundings;
Thursday: event at the hostel: let’s cook together and play funny games after;
Friday: Happy Friday our common event Wine&Time;
Saturday: using our surroundings, bike tour with our staff to Guincho after dinner at hostel; excursion - lets see what we have near hostel;
Sunday: using our surroundings, sunset at Boca do Inferno.
