Our client is looking for a self motivated individual to cold call both new customers, generating quality leads through the acquisition of estimates for quoting by the technical estimators. You would be working independently to generate new business from the companies head office in Thameside, Cheshire. Knowledge of B2B selling in the construction industry is preferred.

Your client base will be specifiers, main contractors and sub contractors such as roofing companies, cladding installers, and general builders. You will predominantly be making contact with QS, Estimators, Site Managers and Project managers to get the products specified and more importantly, making successful pitches to break specifications for competitor products on projects that are at the right stage of build.

You will need work on to a target of 100 calls minimum per day and be able to distinguish between sales potential and enquiry elimination and therefore, manage your time efficiently and with due regard for profitability.

This is a 100% new business focused sales role to start with where you will be using a wide range of available data sources to seek out and develop quality live-project enquiries, build relationships and affinities with new contacts as well as break specifications. Proven cold calling experience is an absolute requirement as is the ability to understand who are the key decision maker contacts and reach them at the right time.

You will also be required to use effective account management tactics to gain repeat business of any client you bring on board and to manage the internal CRM system to ensure there is no gap or crossover within the sales/estimating department.

Location: Within commuting distance of Thameside, North West, this role is based at Head Office and the successful freelancer will be expected to be work from there. There may be occasions where an external visit to a very hot lead is required at a building site or construction project when breaking a specification. Therefore own transport is essential. Ability to communicate well with construction site managers is an absolute must.
