Commercial Insurance Database sales

I have a database product designed to help commercial insurance companies administer their policies and provide back office functions. These functions include emails, diaries, customer contact information and recording of calls and notes. The system also has integrated invoicing and crediting functions within it's accouting suite.

At the moment this product is an Access database but has been converted to a Windows program ready for testing and rollout. You can see more about this product on

This system is in use by 4 insurance companies throughout the UK. i am looking to try and expand this in the new year as I believe this product is now more or less ideal for that sector.

What I am looking for ?

I am looking for a sales person to take my system and understand how to use it enough to be able to demonstrate it to a potential insurance broker client. These clients are commercial insurance brokers e.g. dealing with Motor Fleet , Combined Liabilities , Professional Indemnity etc. You will fiond your own leads and perform a demonstration if necessary to the client. One of the plus points of this system is that it can be fully customized to the clients needs.

What would you be responsible for ?

You would be responsible for finding and generating your own leads. Contacting , arranging and showing a demonstration to potential clients . I would be contacted when the client agrees to take on the system and I would take over arranging the proper install and invoicing etc. All costs to get this point would be payable by you.

How much does it cost ?

I have offered this system in 2 parts before. I have offered a \"what you see is what you get\" price of £ 2k and I have also offered a \"buy it as it is and have it customized however much you want for 6 months\" for £ 4k before.

Ultimately these are guide prices and you would be responsible for gauging the client and how big the compnay is etc and coming to an agreed price with the client to secure a sale. Initially I would expect to be consulted before any agreed price that deviates greatly from the norm but after I would expect to trust your judgement.

Clients can pay in a number of ways. They can pay all in one, over 6 months , half now half later etc. Again this is up to you and I am flexible in this sense. Obviously I prefer to have as fewer payments as possible as it means more work to keep the database secure for longer etc whiel client money is still outstanding.

Where will you work ?

UK only. But anywhere is fair game . Scotland , England , Wales .

How will you get paid ?

You will get paid on a commission basis only. This commission I am setting at 20% for your first sale in any given month and 25% for each sale thereafter with a given month.

So if you sold a system for £ 2k you would receive £ 400 and if you sold 2 in the same month you would receive £ 900. ( 400 for the first and 500 for the second )

The only stipulation I have is that payments to you will ALWAYS come out of payments from a client. So if you make a sale for £ 2k you will get £ 400 commission from that sale, but if you allow the client to pay over 10 months for example at £ 200 per month then your commission will be paid out at £ 40 per month to match the client.
