Asking for free leads / samples / free anything is A/ Unprofessional B/ Against the TOU , reported .
Sally R.30 Jul 2018Hello
Thank yo for your feedback.
As we have explained to other freelancers, the sample is an essential process to ensuring we hire the right person.
However, we have taken your feedback on board and contact PPH customer service for advice in this instance and since lowered the sample required. -
Is it for rohs/reach type of compliance ?
Just curious.Sally R.30 Jul 2018Hello
No, we source and sell power supply units for companies using such in bulk.
I hope this helps. -
Hi
Did I read correctly that you want us to supply a sample of at least 20 leads with the quotation - without payment?Sally R.30 Jul 2018Hello
We have quotations from companies for this project and have found that their proposals can be quite rigid, hence we have taken the route of going to freelancers.
We have asked for a sample from freelancers just as we have asked for a sample from companies who have submitted proposals and it is a standard practice to show the quality and relevance of the leads.
Unfortunately, we can often find that despite making the brief, samples can prove the concept behind the research isn't accurate and we wouldn't want to pay for irrelevant leads that do not meet our brief. However, should we use the samples going forward e would certainly be happy to reimburse for those leads.
The other aspect is that with a database of over 4,000 companies, we are likely to see a lot of duplication and when we have a list of five with different contacts it doesn't look like successful research, compared to 70-80% of matched research.
However, if you would like to submit a smaller sample, we would consider it alongside other proposals.
