Start a literature review on the topic of consumers channel choice for information search and purchase.
Expected outcome: Select five peer reviewed articles. Summarise the key findings of each article as well as any mentioned theories in a short written essay (ca. 4-5 pages in total, 1,5 spacing). Try to provide a narrative that is organized around common themes and topics, not papers. List of references should be provided APA style.
More info: The rapidly expanding digitisation has changed consumers decision paths drastically, they are no longer linear, but more complex, vary across product categories and change within one consumer over time. The numerous impact factors range from current needs to personal recommendations that are available everywhere in social media channels.
Questions to consider:
- How can we better understand the consumer's purchasing process in a digital/an omnichannel context?
-What sources of information (offline/online/mobile) do consumers use prior to purchasing FMCG products?
-What other factors impact consumers choice of information sources and purchasing channels for FMCG products?
