London SME Outreach
Background to DirectTemping.com
DirectTemping.com is a new, lost cost service for SMEs to find and book temporary workers via the web. Whist there are other job boards and websites for temporary workers, our USPs are:
• Registration - Free
• Post Job Adverts for Temporary Workers - Free
• Search Temporary Worker Database and Make Contact Directly
• Lowest Agency Margin, 9% compared to industry average of 20%
• No Minimum Usage Commitment
• Only Pay For The Hours You Need
• Fixed Temp To Perm Fee of £399
DirectTemping.com is part of the Keystone Group which has had a presence in recruitment for over 50 years. Back office payroll and invoicing processes are managed by LloydsTSB.
The web site is up and running but requires enhancing to: a) sell the benefits more clearly to both employers and workers, b) simplify the registration process for both employers and workers, c) introduce site security for sensitive data. (Changes to the registration process have been specified and are awaiting implementation.)
Once these enhancements have been made (early March) we will enter the launch phase proper initially focussing on SMEs in London and aimed at the following sectors: Hospitality & Catering, Hotels, Events, Office, Reception, Admin, and Call Centre.
The main objective for the launch phase is to get employers signed up and using the service:
• By 31st July to have 200 registered employers in London, of which a third are actively booking workers each week.
Clearly there needs to be sufficient supply of temporary workers, but this is seen as less of a issue; there is a separate pay-per-click campaign already underway which has registered over 400 potential workers plus we can leverage Keystone’s other databases. The aim is to grow the database of Workers to a minimum of 2,000 people in London by 31st July.
Requirements
We require an outreach proposal in two parts:
Part One:
a) Refine the key messages for employers and workers in a concise, clear and easy to understand style.
b) Identify and cost initiatives to deliver the key messages to the target audience in the most effective way so a budget can be agreed.
Part Two:
a) Engage in selected activities according to agreed budget
b) Monitor performance of each initiative (activity vs outcomes).
