We have just switch supplies from a BT broadband solution to Virgin superfast with static IP address.
Before the switch we could use Microsoft VPN on windows7 to VPN into our server and work (the server is SBS 2011). but now we have done the switch the VPN will just not connect- I have made all the changes suggested on different websites I have researched in regards to different security setting on the router and have deactivated the inbuilt firewall

To give you an overview of the set up, we have a static IP address on the Virgin router, from this we port forward all services to a watchguard firewall which pass the information to the server (my understanding is all pretty straight forward stuff).

To confuse matter I can access my emails on my Iphones and can connect to the exchange server with Outlook OWA whilst im off site using the static IP address and I can RDP into the server and access that fine, so I know all the port forwarding must be working.

but when ever I try to connect the VPN I get the same message regardless of what I change.
The message is Error 800: Unable to establish the VPN connection. The VPN server may be un-reachable, or security parameters may not be configured properly for this connection.

is this something you can help me with?
