I'm looking to design a hardware device with the following attributes:

- A linux capable SoC (CPU, NAND & RAM)
- The ability to act as a wifi gateway
- Battery powered
- A USB charging port

This should be a relatively small battery powered portable device similar to a 3g/wifi dongle (eg: http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/?categoryid=218&model=M5250) - however instead of sharing a 3g connection over wifi, it should share act as a gateway to another wifi network.

The intended use for the device is to provide a wifi hotspot for a childs device through which he/she can access the internet. The Linux SoC will be responsible for running a DNS server which will block undesirable web traffic.

For this initial job I'm hoping to find out what kind of components I should be using. In addition to this I'm hoping to find somebody who can help with the PCB design, component sourcing and manufacture of a small number of prototype devices.

The final device should consist of:

- A Linux capable SoC (e.g. Raspberry Pi compute module, Sitara AM3358 ARM Cortex-A8)
- Dual wifi chips (or a single chip capable of acting as a gateway. e.g. TI C3200MOD, Microchip MCW1001A, ESP8266, Ralink RT5350F)
- A rechargeable battery (approx 2000mah)
- A USB charging port
- A hardware power switch
- Various status LEDs
