Trying to decide on using Drupal for my project needs. My host company provides Drupal and MySql.
I have mysql database programming experience and done a bit of php work but don't have the time to learn Drupal and need this up soon and looking for a contract programmer if the price is right.
Here's the rundown.
We want a content management site that allows members to have a private page to list and store text documents.
Once they join the site (annual fee required) they will get password access to a private account page(s) that allows them to... post-upload-replace-view-delete... their documents (i.e. full access).
The member must also be able to (set and control) a visitor's password that will allow others who they give the password to, the ability to "read only/ view" their documents.
The system should be able to keep and display a log/history for the member to see the documents viewed by each of their "passworded visitors". No person will have rights to view their documents without a password.
The document load page will also allow for data columns of "title" "date submitted", "date created", "short summary description".
Members will not have any admin rights. No special options to customize their pages or anything like that. Maybe post their photo... but not necessary. There will be no blog or member-to-member contact system.
The document files do not need to be pulled into the database... Just a file link will do.
The goal is to keep it simple. There will be lots of documents but each member will have a small amount of traffic from posting and viewing.
Should also be able to integrate with a standard online payment system for member sign-ups. PayPal will be Okay!
Thanks.
