I am having another People Per Hour contractor build a game for me that is similar to KenKen or Sudoku in nature. My game is called Arithmus. Now I have to have someone build a site for me. I could do it myself in Wordpress but frankly, it would look amateurish. I don't care what software is used as long as it looks professional, has an non-standard header and I am able to get on and edit text once it has been loaded. I am looking for someone who can build a good looking, unique and attractive site for me that I have already outlined.

Attached is a general summary of how the game would work and look which was the basis for the game programmer to use. I've included that so you can understand the game. I've also included the logo. The other attachment I have is a PDF which is my outline of the way the site would look in my handwritten version of each page on the website. It is attached and should help you visualize what I want. The same template could be used for multiple pages. Most pages would include some spots for Google Adsense ads. A textual description of the pages is shown below:

- Main Homepage
- Register/Login
- New player registration
- personal player homepage with personal stats
- Today's game page
- Rules of how to play (with videos)
- Practice games selection page
- Practice game play pages
- The Monthly Tourney page
- The Arithmus Blog page
- General info page where I will write or insert articles about the value of brain games
- a Hall of Fame page where we will show best stats
- Privacy Page
- Contact Us page
- Cool Links Page (with affiliate items for sale)

I am open to suggestions but generally, this is what I want done. I would provide all the text to be copied and pasted into the site but I need someone to create the pages and make it look slick. The game and database programmer will create the registration and login page so that does not need to be done. He will also create the links and insert them into the statistic fields you create on the player's personal home page.

James Robertson, another People Per Hour freelancer is the game and database programmer and he explained how things will work below:
We have a MySQL database that stores user data, puzzles, gameplay statistics and so on. I have written the PHP scripts that will update/edit/display data as required. The web designers task is purely to design the look of the pages, the images, buttons, CSS styles etc. any interaction with the database will be handled by myself so they do not have to be overly concerned with it. If the webpage needs to display data from the database, I will give them some code for them to incorporate into their page, which will be something simple like this:

include "../elements/checklogin.php";

The above example, will check if they are currently logged in. If they are not, it will redirect them to a login page.

I have created a simple register page, login page, profile page and game page - they will just need to style those appropriately. I have attached sample images of the register and login page. These pages use the same stylesheet.

I will happily work alongside your web developer to help them incorporate the code and to display the output in a way that makes sense to them. So, if they need a page to display the user details in a table or a series of div tags then I will do that, then all they will have to do is included the PHP code (like the example above) and add the appropriate CSS styles.

The game uses a Mysql database and I will have pages that will draw stats from fields to fill in. For example, players will log in and then get to see their personal homepage. Their homepage will show them statistics on all their previous games played. The game gives each player a score based on how well they do and how quickly they do it. I will be running a tournament each month so people will be competing to see where they stand in total points on the Top 100 list etc.

If you have questions, contact me thru this website. I would like to make a selection of a programmer by the end of October and get the site up and running by the end of the year if possible. Honestly, it should be pretty easy. Just a basic format with the usual kinds of pages. Mostly text, training videos that I will produce and save on YouTube and provide the links for. Also, the blog can be a simple plug in. It does not have to be resident on the site. Thanks,
