Description
Experience Level: Expert
You may have seen this job last year - I gave it to a personal contact who got somewhere, but could'nt really deliver. I now believe PPH will give me a solution, and will select from proposals in the next 10 days. I will try to have some short email/phone conversations with two or three proposers before deciding.
We have a web site which we are pleased with in many ways [www.dilgreenarchitect.co.uk] BUT - the images are too small, the structure needs updating - and most importantly we cannot easily add new projects, news etc because it is hard-coded in a complex way.
We want to re-launch the website, with an updated design that is a modest evolution of the existing site (ie NOT a re-brand - we want to keep the slightly stark, white feel), on the basis of a CMS back-end that allows us to edit / add new content as necessary.
We have a good idea of the structure, and a fair amount of content ready and waiting. See attached files for some mock-ups that are more-or-less there - we would consider other ideas.
We can populate the site once the design and theme are complete. We have a hosting account set up [at www.penguin-uk.com, which we want to stay with], and we can do simple management tasks. We know wordpress a little, and are also interested in concrete 5. joomla/drupal might be too deep for us, but we would be willing to consider if you can make a good case. We don't want any niche/proprietary cms platforms - we are looking for a long-term solution which we can manage ourselves.
