Design a Set of Icons to use in our Travel Planning Web Site

Coming from print, we are new to the digital world and building our first interactive websites.
None of what I say here will mean much until you see the context of the job.
But it's good for me to try to define it.

We need to design the following Icons:-
Location number ( Location icon = Map Marker );
i-Rate number;
Stars Rating number;
Euros Number; Price
Km number; Distance

I'm looking for a 2 part treatment for each…
A header panel, containing an Icon, sitting on a white panel containing a number.
for proportions I’m thinking 40:60?
