Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Looking to work with an experienced designer who can:
1. Create a short series of simple graphic designs that can be printed on T-shirts/fabric.
2. The designs must be seen as background for short text quotations, (5 -12 words) and must be complimentary (i.e. in the same style/family) to one another. The designs should not dominate the text but be supportive of it. Keywords to describe would be: eyecatching/elegance/simplicity/uncomplicated/thoughtful/artistic/.
3. The designs must be capable of having the text altered by the user (myself, see note below). Therefore should be created in layers on Photoshop, but layers must be capable of being opened in Affinity Photo.
4. The designs/text will be applied to black, white, grey and dark blue fabric backgrounds, mainly. Digital printing will be used. Design/text colours used should be limited to three-four. A transparent background will be used in all designs.
5 The finished designs should be capable in being viewed and understood (also printed) in sizes from A4 through A6/7.
6.The product and website marketing will be directed toward: age group 18 -35, university students, teachers, designers, city dwellers etc. (Oh all right then, yes the global liberal elite).
7. This gig might suit someone experienced in logo design, also someone familiar with the mechanics of printing onto fabric (some POD, but some in-house heat press transfers). I would appreciate seeing as much portfolio examples as possible that might reference all the above. Copyright of designs will cede to me.
Note to point 3 above: The text, as mentioned will usually be quotes from 5 -12 words. There are currently about 150, mainly but not exclusively political, and as (political/news) events change, other quotes/texts will be introduced and presented with one of the six designs as background. It would uneconomical and laborious to have each 'quote' fitted to one of the six designs, every time one is introduced. I would prefer that the designs act as 'containers' or backgrounds to the text, but have the ability to insert new text as necessary. Happy to expand on this later with whosoever is contracted.
