Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated Job duration: Ongoing
Messie Jessie is a very small, vintage fashion brand, producing vintage style clothes using authentic period fabrics from the 1920s through to the 1980s. We source our fabrics from all over the world, using only the finest quality material including brands such as Liberty, BushBaby and Laura Ashley as well as high quality unbranded vintage fabrics.

I am looking for someone (or sometwo or three, I am happy to split the work into specialities), preferably in the Horsham area (I could do London or Brighton at a push) who can produce the patterns, cut and sew the entire collection. I'm happy to pay as each stage is completed.

Then 15-20 hand made items as an initial run.

I have created a range that consists of 5 skirt styles, 1 top and 3 dresses in various sizes. All patterns are extremely simple in order to allow the vintage fabrics and detailing to speak for themselves. Each style can be produced in various fabrics. They are:

1960s style high waisted mini skirt with button detailing: 6
1950s loose pleat skirt: 3
Box Pleat skirt: 3
Partial Circle skirt: 3
Full pleated skirt: 3

1980s-style spliced dress: 0 (just the pattern for now)
1960s-style shift dress: 0 (just the pattern for now)
1950s-style circle dress: 0 (just the pattern for now)

Stretch corset top

I have a very small budget but this will lead to much more work in the coming months, hence the extra patterns. I already have shops in London and Horsham, West Sussex interested in selling the finished items, and as long as the samples are of an exceptional quality it will lead the full contract including upcycling projects for the brand.

    Hi Jessica,
does it has to be within the UK? Would you be open to manufacturing in China?
