Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Information for the business: We are a membership organisation
Industry: Healthcare
Design details: I want 2 x A6 Christmas Cards, both with the same design on the front, and inside (side 3) wording as shown on 2 word documents (Card 1 and Card 2) - to be supplied as Print Ready Pdfs. Front cover file is too large to attach here so please find link to Dropbox below for all files.
The front cover Pdf is currently A5 and needs to be converted to A6 in line with the printing instructions below. The inside pages are word documents and need to be converted to A6 Pdf in line with the printing instructions below
Bleed size should be 214mm x 152mm
Cropping lines need to be at finished size 210mm x 148mm
We kindly ask you to supply your artwork as a PDF version 1.3 (Acrobat 4.0 compatible). Deviant versions can lead to errors during the pre-press process and even to printing errors in the final product (such as transparencies, etc.).
Please check the export properties and choose PDF version 1.3 before converting.
RGB instead of CMYK
CMYK is necessary to provide the best printing result. RGB colours are not used for printing fbut for lights (screens etc). Please convert your artwork from RGB colour to CMYK.
The bleeding is required to ensure a border less printing. Due to technical tolerances the trimmed edge could be displaced slightly whilst cutting. Without bleeding thin white stripes could appear at the edge.
A bleeding of 2 mm around the artwork assures that all fitting objects or coloured areas at the edge overlap enough to clear this tolerance (for example an A4 sheet: 210 x 297 mm + 2 mm bleed = 214 x 301 mm)
Tip: The additional margin should have the same colour as the background of your document.
All graphics or images that you want to bleed off should extend into this 3 mm area.
Furthermore, all fonts should be placed far enough from the trimmed edge.
We recommend a minimum clearance of 3 mm, optimum 5mm (5 mm, optimum 7 mm to the edge of the document) to ensure a well-balanced visual appearance, and to avoid problems with trimming tolerances.
