Description
Experience Level: Expert
Olive and Bloom hand-made soaps have been selling online for the past two years. Find us here at www.oliveandbloom.co.uk (some products have been removed in preparation for the re-launch).
The business will be re-launching in June 2018 as a mail order gift business.
Soaps, candles, lip balms and other items from partner companies such as chocolate and herbal tea companies, will be displayed in a variety of gift box options, along with the customers chosen greeting card.
The customer will be able to choose a gift card from the selection listed below and add their personal message.
Our key target market is women aged 30 to 55. Although, in 2019 we will be launching gifts for men within the same age range.
Project requirements
- Greetings cards
- Candle labels
- Lip balm labels
Folded greeting cards:
Occasions;
- Happy birthday
- Just for you
- Thank you
- Congratulations
- New baby
- Mum to be
- New mum
- New home
- Get well soon
- Merry Christmas
- Happy Valentine’s Day
- Happy Mother’s Day
- Happy Easter
- Happy Father’s Day
Because the customer can add their own message, the card type and pattern should be durable enough to go back through a printer, without compromising the pattern/colours.
The greeting card will be a folded card, either landscape or portrait (open to suggestions for both designs – whichever will be most suitable to print the personal message inside).
Approx. size of the cards - 114 mm x 162 mm with matching envelope.
Labels:
Round labels are required for the top of candles and lip balms, which are in round tin containers.
Container sizes (approx. at the moment – TBC):
Lip balms: 36 (D) x 16 (h) mm
Candles: 81 (D) x 27 (h) mm
Style:
Although we already have the same repeating geometric pattern on our soap boxes and gift boxes (please refer to website to view the pattern), I am open to different suggestions for the greeting cards and labels, as long as there remains synergy with the branding, and the brand remains strong.
Preferred styles;
- Geometric patterns
- Repeating patterns
- Prints from nature with an overlay of geometric shape(s)
- Clean lines and pastel colours

Thanks for the invite, Gemma, but I am a lifestyle writer, not a designer. Good luck to you! Kristi

Dear Gemma,
Hello! Thank-you for inviting me to bid on your project. I love the website and soaps, very stylish! Please can you confirm how many candle and lip balm labels you require, as well as the 14 cards?
Kind regards,
Caz
