Description
Experience Level: Expert
Industry: Education
Design details: We have four charts presented in the attached powerpoint document. These need to be redrawn in a professional manner and with the few labelling changes requested in the notes of the document.
Chart 1: Clustered Bar chart. Make sure colours and patterns used are easily distinguishable (especially for colour blind). Make numbers more prominent and more legible.Maintain axis labels and tick mark ranges.
Chart 2: Line chart with two forms of data. Make sure colours and patterns used are easily distinguishable (especially for colour blind). Make numbers more prominent and more legible. Maintain axis labels and tick mark ranges. Ensure it is clear which line is associated with which of the two Y axes. In this case, Turnover is the dotted line associated with the axis on the right.
Chart 3: Treemap. Make sure colours and patterns used are easily distinguishable (especially for colour blind). Make numbers and labels more prominent and more legible. Change labels according to notes.
Chart 4: Overlayed Map. Clear country map of Europe with country borders but without cities, or terrain. The map must be clean as each country will have a colour saturation associated with profit (use colours in the document as a guide.) Also, Overlay pie charts so that each pie chart is clearly over the associated country. Note that the size of the pie chart is associated with quantity ordered. Ensure country names are clear for United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Belgium.
Target audience: Education
Messages to communicate through the design: Nothing special, just clean, clear and professional with special consideration given to colours used to ensure colour blind people can easily read the charts.
Ideas for the visual style: Info Graphics
Things to avoid: Complexity anything that couldn't be read if displayed on an ipad screen.
