Logo Required for new company "Get Outside the Classroom"

I'm looking for a logo for my new company.
It's few months old but doing well through word of mouth.
I've attached the current text I've used for booking forms and proposals but want a design that compliments the business and lets primarily teachers and head teacher connect to what we are about. we work with all ages of children from early primary school to university students so something contemporary and memorable would be good as i'd like parents and students to feel reassured when they next see the logo next to something their child is taking part in.

We run camping residentials using both larger canvas bell tents and small expeditions tents. Most camps are based on our farm site in rural cheshire but we also run DofE expeditions in the mountains of Snowdonia.

The children take place in a wide range of activities including bushcraft, problem solving, tree climbing, games in the woods, mountain walking, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking.

They sleep in tents and cook their food either on small stoves or open fires.

2) the logo for my other company 'Chester kayak hire' - i like the styling, simplicity, slightly abstract illustration of the boat/paddle/wave www.chesterkayakhire.co.uk

The new company is more diverse and I've struggled to come up with a concept that shows the breadth of who can work with.

had thrown arrows ideas on paper of using footprints from bay feet up to big boots,
hand prints, even the old darwin evolution man style but with kids in the outdoors, tree with silhouettes of tools we'd use, I like the idea of a journey but it could be just a cool picture or even pattern

The logo will be used on the side of a mini bus, website, letter heads, business cards and embroidered onto staff clothing.

I'd love some initial ideas and expected costs to produce the relevant files of an agreed design.
