Description
Experience Level: Expert
I need a logo to be designed for 'The Rye Wildflower Meadow Trust', which is a charity that has been set up to raise funds to create a native wildflower meadow in the centre of the 'Antient' Cinque Ports Town of Rye, East Sussex. The wider aims of the charity are:
1. To promote the advancement of environmental protection and improvement by improving plant diversity and insect/invertibrate/bird/mammal biodiversity; and enhance the urban environment of Rye throughout the seasons; and
2. Promote citizenship and community development in Rye by involving the local community in managing the site to foster a greater sense of citizenship and community.
I appreciate that the full title of the charity is a bit of a mouthful but this will need to be included in/below the logo. Also, ideally the logo would be scale-able so that it looks just as good in the corner/top of a letterhead as it would as a bright and vibrant image on various social media platforms etc. While I would like the logo to have a modern feel to it, it should also be mindful of Rye as a medieval town.
Given the purpose of the charity it would be preferable to have flowers/a representation of flowers in the design. However, we need to be careful that any identifiable flowers are 'native wildflowers' to England so that people don't nitpick! Also, I don't want the final design to look too twee!
I have uploaded some pictures of Rye so that people can get a feel of the character of the place.
Thanks for taking the time to look at this project.
