Branding/website brief %u2013 Smooth

General look and feel

Smooth %u2013 people events production.

The company primarily offers end-to-end event management services. Be this a multi-national, large scale exhibition, to an intimate business meeting, a medical conference to an all-singing, all-dancing awards ceremony.

We want to differentiate ourselves from other small event management companies, treading that fine line between showing ourselves as a company with personality but exuding the confidence of a corporate. We want to tell the world about our experience, without pinning this to individuals. We want our clients to be buying Smooth as an entity with the confidence that this is underpinned by years of relevant, high-quality experience.

We offer a number of key services: event management, event people, event production.

Our secondary services include: marketing, sales and sponsorship, conference production, exhibiting support.

All the events we run on behalf of clients should be smooth %u2013 we are the power that produces the effortless glide of a swan, the leap of a dolphin, the grace of a cheetah. Our corporate identity should reflect this %u2013 steering away from the %u2018smoove%u2019 connotations that the name could conjure up (no coffee, chocolate etc.). We want something cool, professional but striking (we have seen some images of blue skies that appeal %u2013 but would like to be surprised %u2013 we do have one pre-requisite and that is that we want plenty of white space).

Collateral to be produced

We need a logo that will look good on business cards, corporate clothing, large scale signage and online.

The logo should perform well on its own, and within the context of other artwork that is utilised, i.e. backgrounds, images.

We also would like a standard company font (we are currently using Bauhaus which we like a lot) and complimentary colour guidelines.

Technical details:

We would like a site with a little bit of flash %u2013 but are not too worried about this. In an ideal world we would like to be able to make minor amendments in Dreamweaver ourselves. We already have hosting of the site set up with Namesco.
