Business Logo

Update: We've decided that the key words: "Freight UK Jersey Guernsey" are much more important than the company name so the name "channel island logistics" can be relegated to the small print.

Extra notes: I need a logo for a new arm of a shipping company that ships freight to Jersey and Guernsey in the Channel Islands from Portsmouth in the UK. This arm of the business specifically "groups" freight, so customer sends boxes, the boxes get "grouped" and put in containers, and then brought over on a ship then get delivered. We'll be marketing to companies wanting to ship their goods to the Channel Islands from or via the UK.

The Company is called Channel Island Logistics (catchy!) but they have a competitor called Channel Island Lines - "CIL" so we cannot easily use initials. This competitor is about to launch a new website - you can see their holding page here channelislandlines.com.

What i'd like is to have a logo that is an icon so that if it was huge on the side of a lorry or ship it would be identifiable from space. I have an idea but I don't want to influence you or pre-empt any ideas you may have so i've written it at the very bottom of the page - scroll down when you want to. if we can get this right we may need additional icons and creatives for website.

I keep thinking of a crate icon - crates can look good, and a great big crate icon on the side of a lorry would be eye catching.
