Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Information for the business: Kitchenware brand
Target audience: Those who enjoy cooking
Messages to communicate through the design: Quality
Durability
Reliability
Trustworthiness
Authority
Royal
Details about the product: Chef's knife
Ideas for the visual style: Crown/royalty/german
Extra notes: I need a logo designed for a new kitchenware brand that I am launching, particularly in relation to a chef's knife, which is our first product.
I have prepared a rough draft of the concept, and it's quite close to what I want but I need someone with design skills to go through several iterations to find the right elements of the design in terms of colour, font, style, graphics, etc. The logo consists of a small graphic, the name of the company and a two-word slogan.
There are two aspects to this job:
1. Creating the logo, which will end up being used on the product packaging like the box it comes in, the sleeve around the box, as well as on our collateral and stationary like emails, website, letterhead, business cards, etc.
2. Creating another iteration of this logo to be printed on the product itself (stainless steel) - this is done through laser. This iteration will include a couple of other aspects like the product details (stainless steel, model number, size, etc.) - but will generally be able to be in black only and therefore has to be slightly more simple.
The output should be the final designs including any raw files so that it can be tweaked after the job is done, or the original designs can be used for future products and collateral.
The ideal designer will be able to model how the logo will look on any product/packaging with a couple of examples of its application, perhaps using 3d rendering or something similar. It doesn't have to be perfect but I'd like to see this.
Samples of the rough draft concept are available on request.
I'd like to see examples of your previous work - logo design as well as any product/packaging work you have done. There is an opportunity to create an on-going relationship here as we will be needing future design input for our website, product launches, packaging and so forth.
