Description
Experience Level: Expert
We need to create a logo and label design for a gin brand based in Huddersfield UK, which is named Castle Hill Gin after it's main local landmark. I want the design to be bold, modern and relatively simple, so that it stands out. Some elements of foiling can be included if it works.
I have attached some photos of the landmark that the brand is named after.
I've also attached 2 designs which I like for the general direction - although not fixed on these if there is something that will work better.
The bottle label will be a single label to wrap around as much as needed - I've have attached the bottle spec sheet, as well as examples of other labels to show the information they include and how that is presented.
The main elements that should be included on the label as a minimum are:
The Process - whittakers example as a place holder "Our master distiller uses his experience and great skill to create a truly premium artisan gin in the heart of Yorkshire using carefully selected botanicals which gives a well balanced and delicious product for the drinkers ultimate enjoyment."
Botanicals - example "Juniper, angelica root, lemon, orange, peppercorn" etc - could be a list, or short paragraph copy, again this can be a placeholder for now until recipes are confirmed
Castle Hill story - eg. "The hilltop settlement dating back over 4000 years, which Victoria Tower now stands atop, has become the well known and well loved landmark of Huddersfield" - this can be made longer if the design fits?
Flavour tag - "London Dry Gin" or "Lady Grey Gin" - I actually thought you may just want the title for the gin just to be "Castle Hill" and then the "Gin" element is in this flavour tagline? similar to Pipehouse Gin, the main label is actually just "Pipehouse" and the flavour is "Earl Grey & Cucumber Gin" rather than repeating the word "gin" twice.
Address - "32 Westgate, Huddersfield HD1 1NX"
Website - "www.castlehillgin.com"
Barcode
Volume - 70cl with e symbol
40% vol
Legal markings as per Pipehouse - e.g. 28 uk units, 1 uk unit, don't drink while pregnant symbol, "UK Chief Medical officers recommend adults do not regularly exceed 14 units per week - drinkaware.co.uk"
Other buzz words/phrases could be included if it's fitting - e.g. Hand Crafted, Hand Bottled, Small Batch, Batch Number, serving suggestions, garnish suggestions.
