Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Design details: optomisign existing logos
Ideas for the visual style: background removal of existing brand logos
Where the design will be used: Web/email
Extra notes: During analysis of the images used on our website (healthservicediscounts.com) I have identified that we have a varied use of image quality and file size and it's clear that we need to spend some time optimising them. We are also in the process of creating the next version of the website and as such require that all logos where possible have a transparent back ground.
I can get a list of the partner companies logos used from our website which I think will be in the order of around 250. I also have the majority of these in quite high res png files that I can provide in a zip file although all will need comparing to the ones used on the partner sites to make sure we are using the latest versions.
The logo size we currently use is 150 * 70. We would require the new images to be optimised for the lowest file size whilst maintaining an acceptable quality. This could be gif, jpg or png depending on what delivers the best output and can be a mix of all three file types.
Any source for the logo on a transparent background can be used (as long as it’s the current logo). If there are no transparent background versions of the current logo available, only then are they to create the logo themselves from a non-transparent background version.
Non-essential clutter/Sub-lines should be removed e.g. Jet2holidays. As a rule of thumb, anything that is barely readable on mobile and does not form part of the main logo is to be removed.
Not…
Images to be named in the following format: Halfords-Logo-Transp-150x70
Please question any logos that cannot be found such as:
• Hotpoint Privilege Purchase Club which won’t be found anywhere with a transparent background so we’re requesting from Hotpoint.
• iPhone 7 (for example) has the apple logo next to the logotype ‘iPhone 7’
After selecting the contractor but before commencing this work we would like to see 4 examples taken from our website and optimised so we can asses quality.
