Description: We are a model development company specialising in risk assessment technology. One of the models we’ve made has a web based HTML user interface that acts as an input/output port to a server cluster that runs the model. The current interface has been built purely as a placeholder for a real GUI. The finished GUI needs to be a fully branded and good looking face for the model, using the correct brand guidelines, colours, logos etc for the company that’s going to be using it.
Although we’re not at a stage of making a working GUI, we would like a mock up or concept of what a GUI for this technology could potentially look like when the development of the model is completed. We want to present this concept in a meeting on Friday next week (Friday 4th) to a group of our clients executives.
The job is to create 8-10 flat images of completed a fully branded GUI for use in a presentation. These flat images will not be turned into a active GUI, they are merely a concept – their primary purpose is to look very very attractive and to clearly fit into the current branding of our client.
I have been given access to the entire branding archive of our client. This means I have access to all their logos, photography, graphics, branding guidelines, website design guidelines, corporate image guidelines etc. Along with InDesign or PDF versions on all their brochures, print adverts, and online assets. Based on pricing and the short deadline for the project, it is unlikely the designer will need to actually create large amounts of artwork other than GUI specific pieces like buttons etc. The 1 necessary artwork piece that may need to be created that we do not currently have is a product logo, however this may have to wait until the program is finished as logo design can be time consuming.
I will be able to provide a more detailed description on what each of the 8-10 designs should include. Until then what I can say is that all 8-10 designs will have the same style of artwork and branding – I.e. I am not looking 10 different concepts, I am looking for 1 concept expressed over 8-10 different pages of our website user interface. For instance we may need –
• New home or “landing” page
• New navigation page
• New data entry page
• New report outputting page
• New portfolio evaluation page
I will be able to show you what info/content each page actually has to have, you will need to take this information and create an attractive concept GUI using the artwork assets I will provide to you and your own skills in design, artwork creation and composition.
