Description
Experience Level: Entry
On an A4 sheet — lay out the following table manners rules, Proof read/re-write for clarity/order them in a way that makes sense and make a space for each of the two kids to rate themselves from one star to 5 stars on how well they think they did that day on that particular behaviour.
Also add some fun child like dining images/clipart.
Title= Dining Behaviour
Eat safely but timely - pace properly
Put your chair in close to the table so that food won’t fall in your lap
Keep the bowl or a plate reasonably close to the edge of the table so that food does not fall on the table
Spread the napkin on the lap as soon as you sit down. Use the clip.
Wipe your mouth before you take a step from your cup.
Fork knife and spoon don’t go back down on the table. They rest on the plate or bowl.
Elbows off the table
Keep your lips together when you chew
Do not talk with food in your mouth
Asked to be excused to the toilet if you need to get up
Take turns talking
Ask the other people at the table how their day went, and asked them what was their favourite thing they did that day.
Keep your feet down where they are supposed to be not on the chair next to them
Ask an adult to be excused before you get up
Hold your napkin and put it back in the napkin ring and leave it on the table
Push your chair into the table when you leave
Bring your dishes to the sink or counter
Also add some fun child like dining images/clipart.
