Description
Experience Level: Expert
I am looking for someone to create a high quality 2D cartoon character logo that will be used to promote my music single 'steal the diamonds', currently in production.
Once the characters are finalised, I will want to re-use them as part of an animated music video for the song. So the same designer / animator would be preferable.
I will be looking to use this logo/mascot as the official branding artwork for the single and also to be printed to t-shirts, hats, hoodies, mugs and other merchandise, so it cannot be too complex in nature but instantly recognisable.
The scene:
Two cartoon characters, a diamond thief, and a rich lady wearing a large diamond necklace.
The lady has her back to the thief who is creeping behind her with a fiendish grin stealing the necklace.
Characters:
The Thief:
He is a weird, comical looking cartoon character - and the mascot for the song.
He is a crazy looking man that may have animal like features, but hilarious to look at.
Thin and spindly, I imagine him looking a lot like Ren (from Ren & Stimpy) with crazy eyes.
He has a fiendish grin. Pointy nose perhaps?
He looks mischievous, shifty and cunning.
He could be wearing some kind of cat-burglar suit or a smart tuxedo (or only half-wearing something)? not sure exactly.
Rich lady:
Affluent-looking rich lady, mature, but not old, well-to-do, with a quirky face (character is also comical).
Lettering:
Somewhere near the logo it has written 'Steal the Diamonds' in equally crazy looking letters, consistent with the scene. This could possibly be a combination of a crazy and straight font?
I'm not looking for a super-quick turnaround as it's more important that I get the finished product right.
