Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
I need someone to draw artwork for my board game. The game is a strategy game set in the 19th-century in the Lofoten islands of Norway. The theme is fishery and commerce. The audience would be 10 or 12 years and up.
Initially I am looking for someone who can draw in a particular style for my character cards. If I like what you do I and you would like to work with me, I could hire you for the full job, doing box-art, rule book art and so on. I am doing the layout and design myself, so it would only be loose artwork, such as characters, landscape, buildings or objects.
The specifics for this job are as follows:
- a sketch of a character
- a character in full body
- character can be any of the following: fisherman, police, priest, bourgeois lady, gentleman, mobster, sea captain or merchant
- high detail (actual size will be 5 cm in print)
- raster format (jpg, tiff or png)
I like the style of the characters in the board game "Red Planet", see https://hillep.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/tegelased.jpg. I would like the characters to be set like they would have been when having their portrait taken, late 19th century style, see attachments or http://dms03.dimu.org/image/01KYJp. All characters should have some quirk or feature that make them look fun, like a devious banker or a pious priest.
To get a feel of the atmosphere, image google "lofotfiske 1800"
The sketch is just so I could get an idea of what your style is. If you can show some similar artwork it would help determine if we can do more work together. I would like to see the sketch as soon as possible, between 1-3 days after commission.

Hi Erik,
Just saw your invite for this - sorry I missed it. I notice this was posted over a year ago. Just checking whether you are still looking for illustration before I put in a proposal.
Thanks,
